Tips & Tricks to Success Mixing Your Mask
Adjust the Mask-to-Water Ratio
• Use Less Water: Gradually reduce the water you add to the Ooey Gooey Mix. For example, instead of a 1:1 ratio, try 1:0.8 (1 part powder to .75 parts water).
• Add More Mask: If the mixture is already thin, sprinkle a little more powder into the mix and stir until it reaches the desired thickness.
Check Water Temperature
• Use cool or room-temperature water. Warm or hot water can thin out the mixture and make it harder to set properly.
Mix Quickly and Efficiently
• Mix the mask briskly but avoid over-mixing, as this can cause the mask mix to start setting before the desired consistency is achieved.
• Use a flat spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl while mixing, ensuring all the powder is incorporated.
Let It Rest Briefly
• After mixing, let the mask sit for 30 seconds to allow the powder to absorb the water fully before applying.
Troubleshooting for Thin Mixtures
• If the mask is already too thin after mixing:
◦ Immediately add more powder and mix quickly before it starts to set.
◦ Use the mask for a smaller area instead of discarding it.
